Im not sure about 35T, but as a 35N, if you don't get the orders you want, you can trade with someone else that wants what you have. Ive even seen one guy go to the 173rd in Italy, its very unlikely but possible. You could end up at a FORSCOM unit, or if you have airborne in your contract or choose to volunteer at AIT, you'll most likely go to the 82nd or a group assignment. Of course as a 35N you won't always go to the NSA.

The NSA also offers free courses you can take where a few are worth promotion points, and some are even ACE accredited and can be used toward a degree. While the AIT is not worth as many credits as 35T since its only 28 weeks (if you dont fuck anything up ofc), but its still a decent chunk of credits toward either an IT or an Intelligence Analysis (IA) degree. It can be dry sometimes, but it can also be really fun - its what you make of it. From what I understand its very unlikely to get orders to FORSCOM, but I did know a 35T who went to the 25th ID and maintained their fleet of drones so its not guaranteed you'll go INSCOM.ģ5N will do the actual analytical work when it comes to the different NSA mission sets, and will write serialized reports on whatever they've analyzed.

Their AIT is like 52 weeks or something crazy, and counts for a ton of college credits towards an IT degree. If you'd like to do system admin stuff and work with hardware when you get out, 35T is the move. Do not answer n00b questions on the main boards.
